We all know you can spend a lot of money on cosmetics. Why is it then that they are often stored in a jumble in a drawer? Good storage for your makeup is an investment in looking good and feeling even better. Follow the organised makeup checklist below for caring for your cosmetics – and put your best face forward every day.

Detect, discard, declutter

It may be your favourite red lippie, but if you’ve had it for 15 years it’s way past its use-by date and probably doesn’t deliver the same rich colour anyway. Kiss it goodbye. And while you’re at it, sort through your collection and toss out crumbly eyeshadows and mascara older than 3 months. If it’s old, it’s unhygienic. Simple.

Group and prioritise.

This is a quick to-do. Sort lipsticks, shadows, blushers and brushes into groups. It’s a great way to take stock of your stuff too. Make a note of what items you use the most, i.e., foundation, mascara, eyeliner, etc.

Clear out a shallow dresser drawer

If you don’t have the space for a makeup station, a drawer is a great solution and a real space-saver too – it can create gorgeous order out of your beauty products. Pick up the Clutter Buster Tray and remember to place items you use regularly up the front for quick access.

Browse your very own nail polish library

All your favourite colours at a glance? Instead of storing them in a makeup bag, we recommend using a Spice Rack for a pretty and practical solution.
