Why your Laundry does not have to be a challenge!

Here are our helpful tips and a collection of laundry products that will help you put a new spin on your laundry organisation. Sorting saves time

The first step

Start by sorting your laundry by whites, brights, dark’s or dry cleaning as soon as you undress, this will help you save time when doing the laundry.

Choose a laundry hamper with compartments to help sort the clothes.

If you have a small laundry room, hang our elfa laundry bags next to the washer and dryer to aid in sorting. You won’t have to pour out the contents of a large hamper to find whites when laundry day arrives — it’s already sorted for you!

Get the kids involved in sorting their own laundry and you’ll save even more time!

Get the hang of it

When drying items that tend to get wrinkled, put them on hangers as soon as possible to reduce wrinkling and save time when ironing.

Use a freestanding garment rack to hang freshly pressed or straight-out-of-the-dryer garments. A great idea is to use different colored hangers for each member of the family, so it’s easy to know where to return clothing once dry!

Protect your delicates

You can prevent damage to delicate items such as undergarments by taking special care when doing the laundry. Set up a special lined Wicker basket to keep delicates separate from the rest of the laundry. When it’s time to wash them, place them in a fine washables bag. Be sure to include a place to dry delicates when planning your laundry room.

Minimum space, maximum storage

Maximise your storage space in your laundry by using a slim trolley between the washer and the dryer for storing detergent, stain remover and other laundry items. When storing cleaning supplies, keep all your cleaning products in the ultra caddy so you’ll always have everything handy, avoiding costly double ups of products. Time is saved as you avoid trips back and forth to the cleaning cupboard. It also helps you keep your products safely out of reach of the children. Do the same with laundry detergents to maximise space by placing them in a Marie Storage Basket with Handle.
